Christmas
Christmas at Lancrigg has become a much loved tradition. If you are looking for a truly vegetarian Christmas we offer a wonderful break, with an abundance of delicacies and vegetarian delights. Many of our guests are not themselves vegetarian and they still choose to stay with us at Christmas, enjoying the plentiful feasting and cosy warmth and hospitality of this romantic setting.
Christmas Eve
Arrive, if you can, in time for afternoon tea or a glass of mulled wine.
At 7.30pm a four course dinner is served in the dining room.
Christmas Day
Christmas Day is greeted at 9.30am with a special champagne breakfast. Coffee and tea are served throughout the day (and at anytime during your stay). The traditional seven course Christmas dinner is served at 1.30pm (see sample menu). After dinner, guests may like to relax in the lounge by the log fire. In the evening a plentiful buffet is set in the dining room from which you may indulge any remaining large or small appetites.
Boxing Day
Boxing Day breakfast is available between 9.00 and 10.00am and may be served in the bedroom by request. For those who want to spend the day walking we will provide a luxury packed lunch. Alternatively we serve a light buffet in the dining room at lunchtime. The rest of the day may be taken up relaxing. In the evening we serve a four course dinner.
December 27th
Breakfast is served between 8.30 and 10.00am. Guests who are leaving are asked to
vacate their rooms by midday.
* A deposit of £100 per room is requested to accompany the booking.
The remaining balance is to be paid by November 30 *

New Year At Lancrigg
New Year’s Eve
Afternoon tea or a glass of mulled wine served in the lounge
Dinner is served between 6.30 and 8.00pm
followed by coffee in the lounge.
At Midnight
Greet the New Year with a glass of champagne and vegetarian snacks.
New Years Day
New Years Day breakfast is served between 9.00 and 10.00am.
This may be taken in the dining room or alternatively may be served in your room if you so wish.
A buffet is served at 1.30pm.
Alternatively, guests who want to go out for the day
may prefer to take a luxury packed lunch.
A four course dinner is served at 7.30pm
Saturday 2 January
Breakfast between 8.30 - 10.00
Guests are asked to vacate their rooms by 12.00 noon, though you are of course welcome to stay around the hotel later than this.
